Nikki Billie Jean At 27: Birthday Photos

Hey guys! On October 5th, I turned 27. I can’t believe I am almost 30-years-old. Time flies.

To celebrate another year, I usually do a photoshoot where I wear a natural hair style and suit inspired look. But this year, I wanted this shoot to be more different, classy and upscale.

My 27th birthday shoot was inspired by illustrator Peniel Enchill. She created this illustration to celebrate the new year at the beginning of 2018. This image has always been stuck in my head since the beginning of the year. When I was thinking of concepts for this shoot, I knew this illustration would be perfect. I wanted a classy and upscale look, so I went with a fitted pink ankara print gown.

For my hairstyle, I went with a lacefront wig with alot of volume. I haven’t worn straight weave since my college graduation back in 2013. I have also never worn a lace front wig. I am known for my natural hair styles and wanted to step out my comfort zone and try a new hairdo. I am super glad I did.
